# Update 20 - Sep 29, 2025

In August, we announced the [launch of Fuel Central](https://noviqtech.com/articles/noviqtech-launches-fuel-central-a-new-era-of-fuel-traceability) - a specialised platform built on Carbon Central’s proven technology, dedicated to sustainable fuels traceability with a focus on SAF and other emerging fuels.

This month, we’re excited to share more detail on how Fuel Central works in practice and how it combines with Carbon Central to provide a complete, end-to-end solution. We’ve been carefully refining Fuel Central with feedback from our industry partners to tackle even greater challenges faced by fuel producers and traders.

#### Carbon Central + Fuel Central: The Holistic View

When combined, these two platforms provide unmatched visibility across the full supply chain:

* **Carbon Central** delivers digital twin capabilities for production and process tracking, modelling inputs, outputs, and sustainability outcomes at the source.
* **Fuel Central** extends this into trading, mass balance, and book & claim, enabling the track of inventory, transfers, customer sales, and exports to external book & claim systems.

Together, they create a holistic infrastructure where production integrity flows seamlessly into trading and certification - a foundation that is both audit-ready and enables alignment with leading standards like ISCC and RSB.

* **Mass Balance Tracking Across Product Types**\
  Easily track and manage balances for multiple product types across facilities, from warehouses to trading hubs to production sites.
* **Token Inventory**\
  Gain a real-time view of token holdings across facilities and intermediaries, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
* **Token Transactions**\
  Every change is logged in an audit-ready ledger, with the option to review and approve transactions prior to finalisation.
* **Token Actions + Book & Claim**\
  Perform key actions such as intersite transfers, customer sales, or exporting to other book & claim systems — ensuring seamless interoperability.
* **Other Fixes**

  Alongside Fuel Central, we’ve also improved Carbon Central’s workflows, making them faster and delivering a smoother, more polished user experience. This reduces friction and makes managing token workflows easier across the board.

By combining production-level digital twins from Carbon Central with trading and mass balance from Fuel Central, enterprises gain an end-to-end digital system for sustainable fuels. This is critical for compliance, certification, and trust — whether for SAF, biofuels, or other low-carbon fuels.

Fuel Central is being rolled out to select partners. In the months ahead, we’ll deepen insights across both platforms, adding more automation, richer reporting, and enhanced interoperability with global standards.

Future updates will deepen insights within each of these modules, bringing even more flexibility, automation, and reporting capability.
