What is the difference between testnet and live mode?

The testnet mode allows you to customise and test the digital twin for free, with transactions processed on Hedera’s test network. However, data may be reset periodically as this environment is used for testing purposes.

In live mode, you are migrated to Hedera’s mainnet, where transactions are fully operational and costs are charged based on usage. This mode provides permanent data and real-world integration.

You will start in testnet mode and can migrate to live mode when you're ready for real-world operations.

Understanding Carbon Central Subscriptions

Carbon Central subscriptions are comprised of two components:

  1. Monthly Subscription Price: Unlocking access to all premium features and limits.

  2. Tokenisation: This component is charged on a per-usage basis, with pricing scaling to offer reduced rates with higher usage volumes.
