Carbon Central and Fuel Central - Year in Review

Over the past year, Carbon Central has continued to mature as a platform, with a powerful sustainability foundation, extending its foundations to support growing scale, compelxity and enterprise adoption. Our work has centred on reinforcing performance, expanding usability, and enabling production-grade sustainability and tokenisation workflows.

This year has been about progress that compounds - deepening support for complex supply chains, expanding customisation for new industries, and extending Carbon Central into a broader ecosystem for sustainable fuels - with the launch of Fuel Central.

Across the platforms, we introduced a series of enhancements designed to support smoother operations and long-term scalability.

We also broadened how organisations get started and grow on the platform. Digital twin setup flows were streamlined, default templates further refined, and new demo projects introduced to help users explore key use cases such as green hydrogen, energy monitoring, and chemical recycling.

We expanded support for manual evidence uploads and legacy data ingestion enabling flexibility for organisations working across a range of technical environments.

Alongside this, we advanced our tokenisation and credit infrastructure to support higher volumes and more complex issuance scenarios. Enhancements to mainnet minting introduced greater predictability, stronger validation, and clearer lifecycle visibility, providing a robust foundation for compliance, reporting, and commercial use at scale.

Sustainable Fuels: Carbon Central + Fuel Central

A major milestone this year was the launch and ongoing evolution of Fuel Central, a specialised platform built on Carbon Central’s core technology and designed for sustainable fuels traceability.

Carbon Central continues to underpin production-level integrity through digital twins and accurate modelling of inputs, outputs, and sustainability outcomes. Fuel Central extends this capability into post-production activities, including mass balance, credit inventories, transfers, customer sales, and book & claim interactions.

Together, the two platforms form an integrated digital infrastructure that connects production, trading, and certification. This end-to-end approach supports complex fuel supply chains, strengthens audit readiness, and aligns with leading standards such as ISCC and RSB — particularly for SAF, biofuels, and other emerging low-carbon fuels.

Throughout the year, we continued to deepen this combined ecosystem by expanding mass balance controls, strengthening inventory resilience, clarifying transaction pathways, and enhancing validation of sustainability documentation. These enhancements ensure the system remains scalable, transparent, and adaptable as market requirements evolve.

Advancing Digital Twin Capabilities

Digital twins remain central to Carbon Central, and this year we extended their analytical depth and configurability.

We introduced enhanced formula capabilities, including support for calculations based on instantaneous batch data, as well as new query-based blocks that enable aggregation logic such as minimums, maximums, and sums. These additions allow digital twins to more closely mirror real-world processes and operational dynamics.

Customisation continued to expand across the platform. Users can now define tailored key metrics, apply conditional units of measurement, reference earlier metric blocks, and configure the structure and presentation of digital twin components. Manual digital twin forms were also extended, supporting more structured and context-rich evidence collection aligned with specific workflows, standards, or methodologies.
